On Tuesday, March 22, 2016, LEAF held the awards ceremony for the 2015-16 Clean Air Poster Contest in the Wonderlab in Logan High School, hosted by Victoria Stafford.
The awards ceremony was short and improvised. Our event was originally planned to be held in the Little Theater, double-booked with the Democratic caucus! This required a change in venue, turning LEAF towards the Media Center. However, the day of the event, the librarian had her baby (wow!) and was unable to unlock the center for the event. Last minute, LEAF moved their ceremony to the open space in the Wonderlab, using rolling chairs from the debate office. With no projector, LEAF's presentation was given on a small laptop. Despite the confusion, many participants and their families found their way to the ceremony to graciously accept their awards and celebrate their achievements.
The ceremony included light refreshments donated by Logan City and coverage from the Herald Journal.
